Trust technique

Tilly

A lovely session with my beautiful girl this morning working with the 'Trust technique'

Tilly was rescued in Romania as an 8month pup during her first ever season where she was being set upon by a group of male dogs jeered on by local gypsies. Can you imagine the terror... (she is a chihuahua cross corgi and was tiny). Thank fully she was rescued by a very brave lady who waded in and brought her to safety.

She had been living under a old plane in a disused airfield with a bigger labrador type dog. I do not know if she ever knew domestic life or was born on the streets.

Not suprisingly she is a very independent girl and very high thinking. She has come along way in the 6 years that I have had her but even now is very easily over stimulated, and struggles to regulate and calm herself.

Working with the trust technique with regular sessions just 'being' with her, going at her pace and 'listening' is helping her release, and let go of so much and at the same time building an ever deeper connection between us based on trust and confidence which is the foundation of any trauma release work 🐾🤍🌻
