Why i love what i do

This is why I love what I do. I visited a family earlier in the week with a rescue border Collie whose trauma and anxiety was so bad that he was constantly having severe panic attacks which resulted in him shaking uncontrollably, foaming at the mouth and losing control of his bladder and bowels. You may remeber me mentioning him before. Thursday was my 6th session with him and he is a completely different dog. He is calm, playful and affectionate and best of all his anxiety attacks have all but disappeared. My heart felt so full seeing this beautiful boy enjoying the quality of life that every dog deserves. I adore working with sensitive animals in this way. It really is truly humbling to feel them beginning to relax and trust after all they have been through. When we work with the energy field it allows old trauma blocks to be released, restoring vitality and allowing us to let the old go. His guardian is doing amazing work with him but the trauma and anxiety was so deep and as many of you know caring for a fearful dog is not easy and creates alot of stress for the carer too.

Many have a perception of healing as the laying of hands on the body and when working with people it often does look like this, as the human has agreed and consented for this to happen. However with rescue, traumatised and fearful animals it looks very different. I work completely at the animals pace, initially purely holding space and accepting where they are at in that moment. That in itself if so powerfully healing. The animal leads the session completely and I just tune into them and 'listen' with all my senses to what they are telling and showing me. Being with them completely in the moment and facilitating the release of all blocks that no longer serve them. This happens on several levels, not only physical, but emotional and spiritual too.

It took three sessions with this beautiful soul before we were able to add in hands on healing, but that is not important. The most powerful shifts happen before this..., as gradually his thinking levels began to come down and he was able to relax fully into the moment. His processing was also supported by an intuitively selected blend of flower essences which are included with any course of healing.
